Question 99444: This problem also includes complex fractions. I simply forget one rule about adding exponents. The equation is . So far I have found the common denominator which is 20x^3. My problem is adding the exponents in the numerator and then simplifying the solution. Would you please help me?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6/4x^2 + 2/5x
The least common denominator is 20x^2
Rewrite each fraction with the lcd as its denominator:
6*5/lck + 2*4x/lcd
Combine the numerators over the lcd:
[30+8x]/lcd
Factor:
[2(15+4x)]/lcd
Final answer:
(15+4x)/10x^2
