My math worksheet says to simplify- No variable represents a value that would make the expression meaningless. The problem looks a little confusing, so I will explain. The equation reads... (3 over x) plus (1 over x^2) all over (9 over 1) minus (1 over x^2)all of this times (x^2 over x^2). i had to put random dots inbetween all of the numbers because it squished the problem together without something there. I hope this makes sense, thanks.

The equation reads... (3 over x) plus (1 over x^2) all over (9 over 1) minus (1 over x^2)all of this times (x^2 over x^2).

[(3/x) + (1/x^2)] / [(9/1) - (1/x^2)]
Comment: This makes sense but where does the "x^2 over x^2" fit in?

Just working what I have above you get:
[(3x+1)/x^2] /[(9x^2-1)/x^2]
Invert the denominator and multiply:
= [(3x+1)/x^2] * [x^2/(9x^2-1)]
Cancel the x^2 to get:
= (3x+1) / (9x^2-1)
= 1/(3x-1)
