Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The problem is:
-8a^5 b^-3/ab^2.
-----
= (-8/1)(a^5/a)(b^-3)/b^2)
-----
= (-8/1)(a^4)(1/(b^3*b^2))
----
= -8(a^4)(1/b^5)
----
= -8a^4/b^5
