: i cant find solution on algebra problem because of lack knowing of this problem
:
Remember when you multiply you add the exponents
:
You know that 2^3 = 8 so you have 8*8 = 64
:
They want you to get used to adding the exponents when you multiply so do this way
2^3 * 2^3 = 2^(3+3) = 2^6; which is 2*2*2*2*2*2 = 64
:
x^4 x
This is same as x^4 * x^1 = x^(4+1) = x^5
:
y^3*y^7 = y^(3+7) = y^10
:
(4^4 y^3) (-5x^5 y^2)
(4*4*4*4 = 256, so you have:
(256*y^3) * (-5x^5*y^2)
Multiply the numbers, add the exponents of y:
-1280*x^5*y^(3+2)
-1280*x^5*y^5
:
(4nx^5n) (5nx^4n)
I can't tell which the variable and which is exponent here
Assume you mean (4*n*x^(5n)) * (5*n*x^(4n)
20 * n^(1+1) * x^(5n+4n); add the exponents of like terms
20 * n^2* x^(9n)
:
:
The rule on exponents of exponents is you multiply the exponents
(2^3)^2 = 2^6
(x^2)^5 = x^10
(x^n)^n = x^(n^2)
(y^4)^6 = y^24

Did this help you understand
