Question 85835: I know this is a very basic question, but I cannot remember if there is any way of figuring 1.02^20 other than the traditional long way of doing 1.02x1.02x1.02 etc etc. Is there an easier formula or way to do this?

I also need to know if 10% changed to a decimal is .010 or .10
Thank you.

There is no "easy" formula.
1.02^20 = 1.485947396...

I also need to know if 10% changed to a decimal is .010 or .10
Yes because 10% means 10/100 = 0.10
