4x+5=3
5+4x=3
5+-5+4x=3+-5======add -5 to each side of equation
combine terms
5+-5=0
0+4x=3+-5
4x=3+5
combine terms
3+-5=-2
4x=-2
divide each side by 4
x=-0.5
