Question 53035: how do I know if I need to have a positive number or a negitive ( im doing negitive exponents )
Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A POSITIVE EXPONENT IS REQUIRED WHEN YOU ARE WORKING WITH WHOLE NUMBERS OR DECIMALS.
A NEGATIVE EXPONENT IS USED WHEN WORKING WITH FRACTIONS:
EXAMPLE X^-2 = 1/X^2 IF X=3 THEN X^-3 OR 1/X^2=1/9 OR .11111
