Question 410477: What is 4 to the 2nd power times 2 to the 2nd power equal. Can u please show me the whole operation.
Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4 to the second power is shown as 4^2
2 to the second power is shown as 2^2

4^2 is equivalent to 4*4 which is equal to 16
2^2 is equivalent to 2*2 which is equal to 4

4^2 * 2^2 is equivalent to 4*4*2*2 which is equal to 64

since 4^2 = 16 and 2^2 = 4, then 4^2 * 2^2 = 16 * 4 = 64
