Question 394215: I think I am doing this problem wrong. If I am can you help me to find the mistake I am making?
simplify (10y^7)^4 (6y^-8)^-3 This is multiplication and what I have so far is
10^4(y^7)^4(1/6)^3(1/y^8)^3 then I got
10000y^11(1/216)(1/y^11)
I feel like that is not right please let me know what I am doing wrong. I have checked the book and I'm not understanding it a whole lot.

This is multiplication and what I have so far is
10^4(y^7)^4(1/6)^3(1/y^8)^3 then I got
10000y^11(1/216)(1/y^11)
