SOLUTION: If the answer is 1y exp. 4 over 3x exp. 10 would you just not write the 1 so you would only put y exp. 4 over 3x exp. 10?
The problem is:
6x exp -6, y exp 5 over 18x exp. 4

Question 360544: If the answer is 1y exp. 4 over 3x exp. 10 would you just not write the 1 so you would only put y exp. 4 over 3x exp. 10?
The problem is:
6x exp -6, y exp 5 over 18x exp. 4, y exp. 1.
so that's 6x exp. -10, y exp. 4 over 18
so that's 6y exp 4 over 18x exp. 10
which is 1y exp 4 over 3x exp. 10
question is do you write the 1 next to the y or is it just y exp. 4 over 3x exp. 10?

Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6x exp -6, y exp 5 over 18x exp. 4, y exp. 1.
----------
[6x^-6 y^5] / [18x^4 y]
----
= y^4/[3x^10]

well reading this problem seems more dificult then the problem itself first off the exp is very confusing as in algebra we use letters to identify variables. the exponent symbol u need to learn is ^ it is located above the number 6 and means "to the power of"
ex: x^2 means x squared or x to the power of 2
and writing in code here makes it even easier to see the problems, just click on the source code to see how.

ok well according to your discription there is no problem here to solve they are just statements, are u adding multiplying dividing or subtracting these together.
Commas between them dont indicate an action please rewrite the problem correctly so we can help you solve it.
thanks
