You solve this by the FOIL method;
First;
Outside;
Inside;
Last;
Now multiply this according to thewe words;
( 8x - 3)(5x - 4)
First multiply 8x*5x=
Now multiply Outside; 8x*-4=-32x
Inside; -3*5x=-15x
Last; -3*-4=12
Now but those together in same order;
-32x-15x+12
add like terms;
-47x+12
