The answer is # 4. The way to figure this out is you find the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) with the numbers. They have 2 and 4 in common. Since 4 is the highest GCF you would factor the 4 out of the problem. You do the same for the X's. Since you have to the second power, and to the third power you would factor out the lowest power.
