When you are finding variables to exponentes, like: 3^x = 27, is there any othe way to find the value of x, other than just multipling 3x3x3 = 27, so x = 3.

You can multiply the base, 3 in this case, until you get to the value (27).
Or, you can divide the value (27) by the base until you get to one (1).
This works if the exponent is an integer.
