Question 186385: Hi there, Could you please help me solve the following Exponential functions question?
I was going through my notes and examples and although I was able to solve every other homework question, this is the only one that I didnt know how to solve. I was hoping if someone could help me out with it.
State the equation of the exponential function that has the following features. (2 marks)
i) It has the x-axis as an asymptote.
ii) It passes through (0,-1), (-1,-3), and (-2,-9).

Looking at the given points, you can see powers of 3 in the y values.
How about

As x becomes positive, the result approaches y=0 from below.
