What is the LCM of 6x^2y^3z and 15x^3yz^2
I know the LCM of 6 and 15 is 30 but I don't know what to do with the exponents.
------
You know 30 is the lcm of 6 and 15 because 30 is the smallest number
that both 6 and 15 divide evenly.
------------
So look at x^2 and x^3; Do you see that x^3 is the smallest monomial that
both x^2 and x^3 divide evenly?
-----
And looking at y^3 and y; Do you see that y^3 is the smallest?
And looking at z and z^2: Do you see that z^2 is the smallest?
----------
So your lcm is 30x^3y^3z^2
