The only way that 2 times something can be equal to that same something
is if the something were zero to start with.


So, if x%5E2=2x%5E2, then x%5E2=0, but that means that x=0 as well.


x=x%5E2=0 is the reason you have difficulty if you try to divide both sides
of the equation by x%5E2.  Dividing by zero leads you to the absurdity that
1=2.  Would that I could be on the right side of that equation with my bank on the left.
