The other tutor doesn't seem to know that 0 is 
NOT a positive integer.  Here's the solution:

12 + 12 + 12 + 22 + 32 = 42

Note: If they had to be all different, the answer 
would have been

12 + 32 + 42 + 52 + 72 = 102
