Hello!
If you are dividing and your dividor and dividend has the same numerical coefficient you will only subtract the exponent of the divisor to the exponent of the numerator.
12^-4/12^-5.You will only subtract -5 to -4.so you will get 1. So the answer is 12^1 or 12.
