FOIL STANDS FOR FIRST, OUTER, INNER & LAST.
THIS IS THE ORDER TO MULTIPLY SO YOU DON'T MISS NOR ANY ONE TERM TWICE.
FIRST=(3X+7)(3X+7) 3X*3X=9X^2
OUTER=(3X+7)(3X+7) 3X*7=21X
INNER=(3X+7)(3X+7) 7*3X=21X
LAST=(3X+7)(3X+7) 7*7=49
THAT'S WHY YOU HAVE 2 (21X) TERMS DUE TO THE OUTER & THE INNER MULTIPLICATIONS.
