Question 1027728: When I enter (2.71828)^-0.318 into my calculator and when I see the example, the answer received is 0.728. When I calculate it out I am getting 0.8644 I thought it would essentially equal 1/(2.71828)^0.318. Where is this 0.728 coming from? Thank you.
Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(2.71828)^-0.318 = .7276029441

1/(2.71828)^0.318 = .7276029441

i get the same answer both ways.

you must be doing something wrong.

since (2.71828)^-.318 is equivalent to 1/(2.71828)^.315, you should be getting the same answer.

.8644 is incorrect.
