Question 1009693: X to the power -n is equal to 1/x to the power n, prove it
Answer by rothauserc(4718)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^(m-n) = x^m / x^n
note this is a law of exponents
let m = 0
x^(0-n) = x^0 / x^n
note that x^0 = 1, then
x^(-n) = 1 / x^n
