Any number to the zeroth power (except zero itself) is equal to one

So this formula applies

x%5E0=1 where x%3C%3E0


So 5%5E0=1

all negative numbers to the zero exponent are -1.
all positive numbers to the zero exponent are 1.
0^0 is undefined.
