Question 954516: If 8^n=27, what is 4^n?
I have worked out that 8^n/4^n=2^n, so the answer is 27/2^n, but the answers provided are: 3, 4, 9, 13.5, there is no such n. I have calculated on my calculator that n is 1.584, but cannot see how to do that without a calculator.
Thanks
Paul

If 8^n=27, what is 4^n?
---------------
If 8^n=27
(2^3)^n = 27
2^(3n) = 27
4^(3n/2) = 27
4^(3n) = = 27^2 = 729
4^n = 9
