Question 92608: Simplify using only positive exponents.
-5(3/2)(4-9x)^-.5(-9)

I multiplied -5 times 3/2 and got -15/2, then multiplied this by -9 and got 135/2. So now I have 135/2 times the square root of (4-9x)^-1. Would this simplify to the square root of 1/(4-9x)? If I did this, what would that square root simplify to? I'm not sure if I've done this right so far, and don't know where to go from here.

I think you have done very well.
---------
-5(3/2)(4-9x)^-.5(-9)
= (135/[2sqrt(4-9x)]
