The denominators 4, 3, 2, and 3 have least common denominator 12

To cause the denominator of  to be 12 we multiply top and bottom by 3.
To cause the denominator of  to be 12 we multiply top and bottom by 4. 
To cause the denominator of  to be 12 we multiply top and bottom by 6.
To cause the denominator of  to be 12 we multiply top and bottom by 4.

(3/4-2/3) + (1/2 + 1/3)
=(9/12-8/12) + (3/6 + 2/6)
=1/12 + 5/6

=1/12 + 10/12

=11/12
