Question 70444: how do you simplify n^9/n^15?
Answer by pleasuretohelp(9)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
n^9/n^15
There's a rule that if you have the same term, you can subtract the power if it's division and add the power if it's multiplication.
Since you have the same term, which is the n, and since it is a division problem, you can subtract the power right away.
n^9/n^15
n^(9 - 15)
n^(-6)
