Question 63600: Hi I am not sure how to solve this problem, please help, thanks.
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(1/3)x^(-2/3)+(2/3)x^(-5/3)=0
Multiply thru by 3 to get:
x^(-2/3)+2x^(-5/3)=0
Since x^(-5/3)is the smaller of x^(-2/3) and x^(-5/3), factor it out:
[x^(-5/3)][x+2]=0
Then x^(-5/3)=0 or (x-2)=0
Therefore: x=0 or x=-2
