x^k-12=(x^2)^-k-3
PLEASE TYPE PROBLEM PROPERLY USING BRACKETS..THE PROBLEM SHOULD BE
X^(K-12) = {(X^2)}^(-K-3)=X^(-2K-6)
SINCE BASES ARE SAME POWERS ARE EQUAL
K-12 =-2K-6
2K+K=12-6
3K = 6
K=2
