Question 466949: Fractions are not my strong suit..and I have no clue where to start to solve this...i know once i see it a lightbulb will flash in my head
1/4(5x-1/2)-5/3<1/3

Answer by ccs2011(207)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Add 5/3 to both sides
1/3 + 5/3 = 6/3 = 2
**Same denominator so just add the numerators**

Multiply by 4 on both sides
**This cancels out the 1/4, **

Add 1/2 on both sides
8 + 1/2 = 16/2 + 1/2 = 17/2
**Different denominators so rewrite 8 as a fraction with 2 as denominator**

Divide by 5 on both sides
**Remember dividing by 5 is equivalent to multiplying by 1/5**
