Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(2/9) to power of -2. Simplify the expression.
---
The negative in the exponent tells you to invert.
The 2 in the exponent tells you to square.
---
You may perform these instructions in any order.
---
(2/9)^(-2)
If you invert 1st you get:
(9/2)^2
You then square to get:
81/4
=====================
If you square 1st you get:
(4/81)^(-1)
You then invert to get:
81/4
=========================
Notice, the answers are the same no
matter what order you follow.
