Question 293262: (x+4)^2/3 = 4
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x+4)^2/3 = 4
(x+4)^(2/3*3/2) = 4^(3/2)
(x+4)^1=4^(3/2)
take sqrt (4) which equals 2 and cube it
x+4=2^3
x=-4+8
x=4
or we could have cubed 4 and got 64
and then take the sqrt (64)=8 and subtract 4
and end up with 4 as before.
