Question 219172: how do you multiply by a reciprcal to solve this equation -2/5y=4
also -1/3y=6, also 5/8m=-20, also 3/7x=6
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-2/5y=4
-2y/5=4
-2y=4*5
-2y=20
y=20/-2
y=-10 ans.
---------------------
-1/3y=6
-y/3=6
-y=6*3
-y=18
y=-18 ans.
--------------------
5/8m=-20
5m/8=-20
5m=-20*8
5m=-160
m=-160/5
m=-32 ans
------------------------
3/7x=6
3x/7=6
3x=6*7
3x=42
x=42/3
x=14 ans.
