8/4^-2
I understand that the 4^-2 needs to go to the top with the 8 but im not sure whether I need to add the 8 and the 16 (4^2) together or not.
Please help. Thank you.
Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
yes, "4^-2 needs to go to the top", but it is a multiplication, not an addition
8/(1/(4^2)) __ 8/(1/16)
multiplying by 16/16 to clear fraction from denominator __ (16*8)/1 __ 128
