Question 12346: I have to graph the function y=e where "1/x" is the fractional exponent of "e". I have plugged in and graphed it for the positive integers, but I am confused about how to get answers for the negative integers. What does e^1/-2 for example look like? I know that with fractional exponents, you use the bottom number as the root and the top as the exponent, but how do you have a negative root of a number, say a negative square or cube of the number? (I know it is different from negative numbers under the radicand, which become imaginary).
