Without proper use of parentheses, this is what your expression is:

I doubt that is what you intended....
Re-post showing the expression clearly.
In particular, if the "1/2" and "1/3" in the expression are fractional exponents, then you need to make that clear.
"8x1/2" -->
"8x^1/2" -->
"8x^(1/2)" -->
I suspect the last is what you intended....
