8 * 10^12 calculations * 4 * 10^-6 seconds for each calculation will take 32 * 10^6 seconds which is equal to 3.2 * 10^7 seconds in scientific notation.

the multiplication is done as follows:

8 * 10^12 * 4 * 10^-6 is equal to 8 * 4 * 10^12 * 10^-6 which is equal to 32 * 10^(12-6) which is equal to 32 * 10^6.

to convert to scientific notation, you divide 32 by 10 and you multiply 10^6 by 10 to get 3.2 * 10^7.

i confirmed with my scientific calculator that the arithmetic is correct.

3.2 * 10^7 is equal to 32 * 10^6 which is equal to 32 million (32,000,000).
