Question 37055: This question has been bothering me for quite a while now.
4 x 5^(X+2) = 5 x 4^(2X)
(big 'X' is the variable, solve for X)
I tried taking the log of both sides to get
log 4 + (X+2)log 5 = log 5 + (2X)log 4
then group like terms
(X+2)log 5 - (2X)log 4 = log 5 - log 4
then I get stuck...
any help?
