Question 973363: What is/are the solution(s) to 3^(x+1)+8=3^(1-x) ?
How did you solve for it?
A similar problem is: e^(2x-1)=3 What is x? This one involves logarithms and the answer contains ln although i don't know what that quite means.

Also, what is the value of x in this problem:
sqrt(x- sqrt(x- sqrt(x... =6
what is x?
The website couldn't proccess the equation using the formula plotting system, sorry.
The square roots are inside each other and it goes on indefinitely but I dont get how the sum is 6

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What is/are the solution(s) to
3^(x+1)+8=3^(1-x)
I graphed the left side and the
right side as separate equations
and found their point of intersection.
Ans: x = -1

A similar problem is: e^(2x-1)=3 What is x? This one involves logarithms and the answer contains ln although i don't know what that quite means.
Right.
2x-1 = ln3
2x = ln(3)
x = (1/2)ln(3)
x = ln(sqrt(3))
----------------------

Also, what is the value of x in this problem:
sqrt(x- sqrt(x- sqrt(x... =6
Square both sides to get:
-sqrt(x-sqrt(x... = 6^2
---
Square both sides again to get
-sqrt(x-sqrt(x..) = 6^4
------
Then 6^8
Then 6^16
etc.
Cheers,
Stan H.
