4^inx=8, find the value of x.
-----------
If you mean
Notice it's ln for natural log, not in.
ln(x) = ln(8)/ln(4) = 3ln(2)/(2ln(2))
ln(x) = 3/2
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4^lnx =8
2^2lnx =2^3
2 ln x =3
ln x = 3/2
raise everything to e power, because e^lnx =x
e^ln x= e ^(3/2)
x=4.48
check
4^ln (4.48)= 4^ 1.5 = 4^(3/2)=8.
