"Given that 2^y = 16^(x – 3) and 3^(y+2) = 27^x, find the value of x + y"

2^y = 16^(x – 3) and 3^(y+2) = 27^x
2^(y) = 16^(x – 3)

y=4(x-3)......................(1)


y+2=3x
y-3x=-2......................(2)
substitute y
4(x-3)-3x=-2
4x-12-3x=-2
x=10
y=28
