2(3)^2x � 10 = 0
I've got just as much information on it as you. I know logs come into play to it somehow. I got as far as:
2(3)^2x � 10 = 0
6^2x=10
Log6 10=2x
7.7815125=2x
7.7815125/2=x
x=3.89075625
But after trying to double check with the original equation... well, I was way off. I'd appreciate it also if someone could help me understand where I went wrong.

2(3)^2x � 10 = 0

If the exponent is 2x,
3^2x � 5 = 0
3^2x = 5
2x*log(3) = log(5)
