Question 85907: Given the formula: y = e^.0023x (obtained from an Excel Trend Line function)
How do I solve for x?
I got to:
(y/2.8)^(1/.0023) = e^x
...and then:
natural log((y/2.8)^(1/.0023))
Further, I attempted to convert it to an Excel worksheet function as:
ln((y/2.8)^(1/.0023))
Thanks for any help you can provide.

if you take the natural log initially, you get ln(y)=.0023x ... dividing gives x=(ln(y))/.0023
