Question 82834: prove the quotient property for logarithms? logb u/v=logb u-logb v
Answer by funmath(2933) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
prove the quotient property for logarithms:
logb u/v=logb u-logb v
Let A=logb u and B=logb v
Then b^A=u and b^B=v
logb b^A/b^B
=logb b^(A-B)
= A-B
= logb u - logb v
Happy Calculating!!!!
