Question 81605: i'm needing some help on how to expand this logarithm and i'm not real sure where to began:

loga[(x^2y^-3)^4/(xy)]

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
loga[(x^2y^-3)^4/(xy)]
--------
Comment: All of this is log (base a) but I'm not repeating it.
----------
log[(x^8y^-12/(xy)]
= 8logx -12logy -log(xy)
=8logx -logy -logx - logy
= 7logx -2logy
