log%280.25%5Ex%29=log%282.5%29Take the log base 0.25 of both sides
x=log%282.5%29

x=-0.66096


Check:
0.25%5E%28-0.66096%29-0.5=2
2.4999-.5=2
1.9999=2 which is really close and it's only off due to roundoff errors so it works
