Question 734781: log x + log 4 =1 please help with this
log x - log 9 =3
(1/2)^3x =8^2

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
log x + log 4 =1
log(4x) = 1
4x = 10^1
4x = 10
x = 5/2
--------------------
log x - log 9 =3
log(x/9) = 3
x/9 = 10^3
x/9 = 1000
x = 9000
-------------------
(1/2)^3x =8^2
---
(2^-1)^(3x) = (2^3)^2
------
2^(-3x) = 2^(6)
---
-3x = 6
x = -2
