Hello,
Let's set this f(x)= x^3+4x^2-5x up as:
0= x^3+4x^2-5x
Now factor:
0= x(x^2+4x-5)
Now factor again:
0= x(x+5)(x-1)
Solve for x
x=-5
x=1
