Story Problem: The femur is a large bone found in the leg or hind limb of an animal. When finding animal remains, Scinetist use the circumferrence (distance around) of an animal's femur to estimate the animal's weight. The table below shows the femur circumference C(in millimeters) and the weight W (in kilograms) of several animals.
Problem: Use the graphing calculator to find a linear regression model fo the data. (A). Write the exponential Function (B.) Is this a good fit for the data? Explain.
Help me!! I have no clue how to do this.

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You have a bunch of points (Circumference, Weight)
Put the Circumference Data in L1 of your graphing calculator.
Put the Weight Data in L2 of your graphing calculator.
Hit STAT, CALC, LinReg L1,L2 to generate the linear regression equation.
Hit STAT, CALC, ExpReg L1,L2 to generate the exponential regression eq.
----------
Hi STAT PLOT to generate the dot-plot.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Stan H.
