log1/4y=-2/3
If the 1/4 is the base.
log1/4(y)=-2/3
y=(1/4)^(-2/3)
y=2.5198421
:
If this is a common log:
log(1/4y)=-2/3
(1/4)y=10^(-2/3)
(1/4)y=.215443469
4(1/4)y=4(.215443469)
y=.861773876

Given log1/4y=-2/3
Take the exponent of the above function, we get
e ^ log(1/4y) = e ^ (-2/3)
(1/4)Y = e ^ -2/3
Exponetial and logarithm are inverse functions, therefore they get cancelled.
y = e ^( -2/3) / (1/4)
y = e ^(-2/3) * 4
y = 4 * e ^(-2/3)
y = 4e^(-2/3)
