convert to exponential form: (base(16) raised to log of number(x+2)=number(32)
16^(x+2)=32
(16=2^4)
(2^4)^(x+2)=32
2^4(x+2)=32
(32=2^5)
2^(4x+8)=2^5
equate exponents with same base 2
4x+8=5
4x=-3
x=-3/4

16^(x+2)=16^(-3/4+2)=16^(5/4)=32
